Jacinta Foster is one of our Managing Directors and a highly experienced clinician and educator in the field of Vestibular Physiotherapy. She holds a Masters degree in Physiotherapy and is currently undertaking her PhD at the University of Queensland, looking at the relationship between vestibular function, balance, and hearing loss in older adults as part of an Industry-funded (Sonova AG, Switzerland) multi-site International registered clinical trial. Jacinta has completed advanced competency-based training in the field of Vestibular rehabilitation.
Jacinta currently works clinically as an Advanced Vestibular Physiotherapy Practitioner at Logan Hospital alongside Neurologists and ENT Surgeons within the Statewide Complex Vestibular Service and Virtual Reality and Balance Clinic for those with chronic dizziness and head injuries.
Jacinta’s passion for vestibular rehabilitation is evident in her continuous professional development and ongoing education of others in this specialised field. She has completed advanced competency-based courses in vestibular management, including specialized training in Central Vestibular Disorders, Advanced BPPV Management and Concussion.
Jacinta is employed as a sessional Lecturer for the Undergraduate and Masters of Physiotherapy Students at the University of Queensland and has been invited to teach Physiotherapists across Central Queensland Health Service. Her vestibular expertise and leadership in this field has been recognised through being requested to speak at multiple State and National conferences and through her work as a Facilitator, assisting to teach introductory, advanced, and competency-based vestibular training with her teaching colleagues at Vestibular Courses and Vestibular Education Australia.
