At Gold Coast University Hospital, Vicky works as an Advanced Vestibular Physiotherapist running the Primary Contact Vestibular Clinics for Ear Nost Throat (ENT) and Neurology specialties and Secondary Contact clinics managing vestibular disorders post-hospital presentation. Vicky works closely with Audiologists, ENT, and Neurology specialists, leads clinical improvement processes, and regularly provides clinical consultation to the Emergency Department and Physiotherapists nationally.
Vicky received her PHD in vestibular physiotherapy from the Australian Catholic University titled, ‘Improving screening and management of vestibular disorders in the hospital setting’. Vicky has published 6 peer-reviewed papers, developed and validated the Vestibular Screening Tool (VST), and investigated the clinical effectiveness of a hospital-based vestibular service. Vicky has been invited to share her research at conferences nationally and internationally.
Vicky has had the privilege of teaching and sharing her clinical expertise at Central Queensland University’s undergraduate physiotherapy course, Australian Catholic University’s Master’s Program, and Queensland General Medicine Program, and is a faculty member of the Advanced Vestibular Practitioner Program at the University of Pittsburgh. Vicky enjoys assisting in teaching introductory, advanced, and competency-based vestibular training for Vestibular Courses and Vestibular Education Australia.
